History

From our humble beginning in a small industrial unit in the coastal town of Rhyl, North Wales, Phoenix has grown year on year due to its' commitment to producing quality optics and servicing the needs its cutomers.

Phoenix started out in 1990 with the introduction of two moulding furnaces from what was Chance Pilkingtons in St Asaph. As business grew, it became apparent that our customers would benefit from being offered other processes like profiling and polishing. Tony Palframan's (MD) drive to succeed in a cut throat market saw the introduction of new machines and processes to make up what is today, a 45 employee strong work force working out of a splendid purpose built factory within the largest optics cluster in the UK.

With continued dedication to new technologies and constant investment in providing employees with new skills along with a very successful apprenticeship scheme, Phoenix has become a name recognised the world over.
