Work centres and departments within the Phoenix Precision Polishing facility cover the complete range of smoothing and polishing processes from the ultra-violet (UV) through to long-wave infrared (LWIR).
Processes include conventional polishing, CNC high-speed polishing, flat lapping and twin lapping to produce lenses, mirrors, filters and plano optics delivering high quality, competitively priced parts in low-to-high volumes.
Part sizes range from 10mm to 600mm in diameter with additional processes available including laser centering and cementing of doublets, triplets and prisms.
Our in-house coating capability is depositing a full range of UV, VIS and NIR materials and sub-contract coating in the IR is available.
