Plano / Flats

Phoenix Precision Polishing now has a total of nine flat and twin lap plano polishing machines in operation. Currently producing visible wavelength windows and avionic combiners, in all glass materials from UV to NIR, the flat polishing area is able to polish the maximum part size of 480mm diameter.

Supporting processes include a proprietary three stage cleaning process. Additional processes available include chemical toughening, coating (e.g ITO / AR) and EMC shielding.
